Kuna Id Baby Photography

Baby photography in the last year has been a little more challenging than it was in the past. The lockdowns and then the mask wearing during sessions made it difficult to connect with babies. Smiles have been harder to get and stranger danger seems to come at an earlier age. This is all predictable and no one is to blame. It’s just one of the many signs of the situation we are living with.

Even though sessions with older babies have been more challenging we have always been able to get what we want and need. It has taken a little more work and creativity. Sometimes that includes singing songs, playing peekaboo, having mom or dad dance behind me, or playing their favorite songs. It’s fun to figure out what is going to get the biggest smiles.

Autumn Kuna Id Baby Photography

Autumn’s grandma sent me an email through my contact form. She wanted to set up a photo session since she had turned 6 months old and could sit up. It had been a few months since I had done a sitter session and I was so excited. My schedule had been full of cake smashes and newborns. Because it was fall time and her name is Autumn I designed a fall set just for her.

Autumn came for her session and she was just perfect. She was full of smiles. We sang songs, danced, and she smiled the whole way through. She needed a little milk break halfway through and it was just what she needed to keep on going. One of the things I really loved about doing pictures of Autumn was seeing a set come to life. I had an idea of what I wanted her session to look like based off of talking with her grandma. To see it all come together was amazing.
