Meridian Newborn Photography

What an honor it was to photograph this sweet newborn. I was able to photograph his two older sisters and now this sweet boy. He and his sisters share the same dad but have different moms. The way these two families parent together, and the relationships they have are amazing to see. They are such an amazing example of positively coparenting.

Not only have a photographed all three of these sweet newborns, I also knew mom while she was a teenager. I was able to be part of the youth group at our church while she was there. It always so much fun to see people grow, get married, and start their own families. Seriously, such a joy to watch these families grow.

Photographing baby C

Baby C was such a sweet little newborn. He loved to be snuggled and wanted the studio to be extra warm. I typically keep the studio temperature in the high 70s. Baby C wanted it in the 80’s which was just fine with me. I personally love being in the warm studio with these sweet newborns.

When mom and dad booked baby C’s session they had a few ideas that they really wanted done. They wanted to incorporate a cowboy hat and boots. We were able to create a darling set up with baby in a bucket. Aside from being the cutest set up ever, I think it really showed off the props without making it so that baby got lost.

Composite Images

Another picture that mom and dad really wanted of their baby was their baby on a guitar. In this case it wasn’t safe to take pictures of baby C on the guitar so we chose to do a composite image. A composite image is where you take two pictures and merge them together to create a final image. In this situation I took a picture of the guitar on its own. Then I took a picture of baby C on the beanbag in the pose that we wanted. Later in photoshop I took baby C and photoshopped him onto the guitar. Its a fun and safe way to create something amazing.
