I love being a Reno Nevada Photographer. There are so many opportunities to meet so many amazing families each year. One of my favorite events to have is the yearly Christmas mini sessions. Its a great way for me to dream up a Christmas photo session and get in as many families as I can possibly fit in one day.
Last year in 2018, the Christmas mini set up was a dark brick background with a giant wreath that had greenery and berries. I loved that set up, but wanted something completely different for 2019. I was able to find an all white set up from and amazing backdrop company name r2 backdrops. To view their website click here. I wish I had blogged last years mini sessions so you could see the drastic difference.
A few things that I love about mini sessions are the large number of families I get to see in one day. I love all the different dynamics that each family brings into the studio. The influx of families allows me to offer sessions for a discounted price. I know the holidays are an expensive time of year. This has been my way of providing families with quality images around the holidays.
Morgan Mathews Photography may not be the typical Reno Nevada Photographer. I typically shoot sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays. During the Christmas mini sessions I do them on one Saturday. This year was a little crazier. Reno had a huge outbreak of influenza. I had several clients that weren’t able to make it because their kids were sick. We ended up scheduling a second Saturday for a make up for all those sick kids.
As always, thank you so much to all of the sweet families that came to see me this year! I know there are so many options for Reno Nevada photographers. Especially, during Christmas mini session season. So, thank you so much for picking me. Capturing your sweet babies is such a joy for me and fills me. I hope everyone had an incredible holiday season.
