Everyone knows I love a good cake smash session. There are two directions parents usually take. One way, is mom wants an elaborate cake smash theme and I help make that theme come to life in a way that fit their baby. The second direction that parents go is a minimal cake smash session.

A minimalist cake smash is how cake smashes started. Parents would bring in their baby and a cake and let them enjoy their cake while we took pictures. It evolved into balloons and then into the large and elaborate set ups that are sometimes created. When a mom wants to do a minimalist cake smash it is such a throw back . Minimalist cake smash sessions brings back so many fun memories of  when I first started my business.

This mom wanted her daughter’s cake smash session to be very minimalistic. She wanted the session to be all about her baby and her cake. We were able to get some really sweet moments. Mom brought the sweetest teddy bear so we had to include it in a few pictures.
