Doing baby photography in Boise Idaho allows me to meet so many different people. I am so fortune to be able to meet people of all different walks of life. Of all the people that I meet, it is not often that I get a newborn with red hair. The last picture on this blog post really shows how red this little guys hair was.

For this session I was able to have a great design consultation with mom and dad. Mom and dad had great ideas and gave me a really good idea of what they were wanting for their pictures. They wanted several different set ups of baby wrapped. Mom really wanted me to focus on getting more detail pictures like his toes and his darling little profile.

Having a design consult with each of my clients is so incredibly important. Not only is it so much fun to plan out colors, accessories, and poses; it also allows me to deliver what my baby photography clients are wanting. Communication is such an important part of having a successful session and providing a design consult is one of the many things that I do to set up good communication between me and my clients.

When I first started my baby photography business I was struggling to know what my clients wanted. I was spending so much time in my sessions shooting what I thought they wanted and then had way through the session the clients would tell me what they actually wanted. I was basically shooting two different baby photography sessions and it was exhausting for everyone involved. Thank goodness for design consults! They really are a win for everyone.
