Eagle Idaho Newborn Photographer
Eagle Idaho Newborn Photographer. When I was in high school I took yearbook as one of my classes. I had always loved photography, but that class helped me to see that I was good at it. I’m not saying this to make myself sound amazing. I’m saying this because in that moment I knew what I wanted to do. I knew what career I want to have when I grew up. My first thoughts when becoming a photographer was to photograph kids. I wanted the styled shoots with the beautiful backdrops and darling clothes. Twenty years ago being a newborn photographer wasn’t really a thing.
As I got older, I went to college and realized going to school at the University of Nevada, Reno for photography was extremely difficult. Most students took photography as a filler course. I knew I would either have to find an art school that could teach me photography or I could find someone to mentor me. I started searching the internet looking for people that I admired and reached out to several to see if they mentored. Unfortunately, many of those photographers said no.
Unfortunately, for my husband, I am not one that gives up easily. I bought a camera, and then I searched the internet on how to use it. I read about every mode and how to use it, every term and what it meant, and it quickly became an obsession for me. Quickly I learned that I preferred studio work to outdoor photography. Looking at sessions that are done outside is so fun, but I don’t love creating them.
My sister in law, then shared a photographer with me that she really liked. Her name was Skye Johansen and she lived just a state away in Utah. When I looked at her website (you can find her work HERE.) that is when I knew that was just what I wanted to do. Skye was a studio and newborn photographer and I had never seen anything like it. I reached out to Skye and asked her if she would mentor me. Luckily, for me, she agreed to teach me.
Since, the time of mentoring with Skye, I have also mentored with Kristen of Son Kissed Photography (you can see her work HERE). Being a Eagle Idaho newborn photographer has been a dream of mine. It’s a dream that I am constantly striving for and living towards every single day. I wanted to share this session of the cutest little redheaded newborn baby. She is seriously the cutest ever.
Rogan was so incredibly good to me. I didn’t see her eyes her entire session. I love her darling red hair, her sweet chubby cheeks, and her parents are beyond adorable together. Thank you so much for sharing your precious newborn baby with me.
